Description: This webinar will review new neuroscience research that applies to clinical practice in neuropsychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. The review will cover the physiology and neurochemistry of clinical practice that drives neuroplasticity. Recent research on connectomes (comprehensive map of neural connections in the brain) of language, executive functions, memory, and motor planning will be highlighted with emphasis on rehabilitation of language, cognition, and motor planning.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

Apply new research on neural connectomes to differential diagnosis of disorders of language, cognition and motor planning after stroke or brain injury

Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on neuroscience principles that drive maximal neuroplastic chanage

Utilize new neuroplasticity research to develop evidence-based goals and methodology for rehabilitation of language, cognition and motor planning.
