Course Description
This comprehensive conference utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to address and update spinal cord care by focusing on current research, technology and practice. We will address treatment and interventions for patients who are post spinal cord injury by practitioners in all aspects of patient care.  Issues will range from pulmonary health to advances in locomotor training and compensation and restoration in patients with spinal cord injury.  There will be a focus on medical, rehabilitation, nursing and psychosocial issues. Laboratory sessions will allow participants to follow self guided tracks featuring practice skills including gait training, splinting, NMES/FES, wound care, functional mobility/mat skills, and advancements in mobile arm support technology.
