Lyndsay Morris, M.ED, RYT-200, is the founder of Generation Wellness. She is a National Yoga Calm Trainer/Teacher and a Registered Yoga Teacher who has a passion for teaching brain-based learning, mind/body techniques + social/emotional skills. Lyndsay has shared her teachings with thousands of children and adults in classrooms, after-school programs, offices, universities, and trainings across the country. Her teaching and school counseling background laid the foundation for teaching and training people of all ages, with a kind, compassionate heart. Lyndsay received the Outstanding Educator of the Year Award in 2011 for her innovative, active, and relational ways of teaching life skills and counseling children and teens. She left public education in June 2014, with a burning desire to share these techniques and "renovate" the educational system, bringing it up to speed with the needs of our teachers + students in 2015.

This special three-day intensive (with pre-course online material) introduces the complete Yoga Calm® wellness system, highlighting its principles and classroom tools including breathing exercises, integrative movement, social/emotional skill development activities, relaxation/storytelling processes and emotional guidance techniques.
Participants will learn how to design lesson plans and interventions that help students with self-regulation, focus, stress, learning readiness, social/emotional learning strategies, communication, trauma, anxiety, sensory integration, and de-escalation movement. Through presentation, hands-on learning, reflection and discussion, you’ll learn how Yoga Calm uniquely integrates physical, mental and emotional skill-building. These support both learning and health while instilling lifelong habits in wellness.

Our new hybrid course design allows you to begin your coursework as soon as you register, with online videos, readings and resources. It’s a great way to learn at a convenient time and location and to repeatedly watch and practice activities. Then you will be ready to deepen your knowledge with a full day of experiential activities and Q&A sessions when we meet in person.
Coursework applies toward the Yoga Calm Youth Instructor and Adult Instructor (Yoga Alliance RYT-200) Certification programs. Washington State Clock hours available. Certificate of training hours provided.
