The NIH Toolbox® Training Workshop is a 1.5 day, intensive workshop on how to administer NIH Toolbox measures using the new NIH Toolbox iPad app.  Sessions will teach the basic knowledge and skills to familiarize users with the administration of the NIH Toolbox app, self- and proxy-report measures of emotional function, and the performance-based tests of cognitive, motor and sensory function. Registration fee: $350 per attendee. There is a $10 cancellation fee.

All attendees required to bring their own iPad*, with the NIH Toolbox® iPad app installed. To get the app, visit the App Store on your iPad, or follow this link:

You are required to bring your own iPad*with the NIH Toolbox® app installed, for use during the training.  This will allow you to set up and retain any test batteries and practice participants that are created during the session. All other equipment and manuals will be provided. Please also bring a wireless keyboard if you plan to administer the Cognition Battery.

*To do this:

1. Bring an iPad Air 2, with Wi-Fi capacity, running iOS 8.4 or later.

For the purposes of training, you may use the app on a regular iPad.  However, the iPad app has not been validated to run on the other versions of the iPad.

For data collection you should use the recommend iPad Air 2, with Wi-Fi capacity, along with the recommended operating system (iOS 9 and later).
