2018 TLCC Call For Proposals

2018 Texas Land Conservation Conference: Call for Session Proposals

The Texas Land Trust Council will host the 22nd annual Texas Land Conservation Conference
February 28 – March 2, 2018 at the Hilton Austin Airport Hotel in Austin, Texas. Our goal for each conference is to deliver diverse, innovative, and relevant information to land conservation organizations, public agency partners, landowners, and professional associates throughout the state.

We invite you to become an active participant in our conference by submitting a proposal to lead one of our conference sessions next year, sharing your ideas and expertise with our attendees. Presentation proposals must be submitted online and will be accepted until August 30, 2017. Notifications of decisions will be made in early October 2017.

What makes a great proposal?
In order to engage our entire audience, we seek to create a balanced, comprehensive program that reflects as many perspectives as possible. Priority is given to presentations that:

*Represent multiple perspectives and a diversity of organizations on a topic, project or initiative
*Offer expertise on the material or subjects that are broadly applicable across the field of land conservation
*Share best practices and proven, successful strategies or experiences on a subject
*Present new, high-impact and innovative research in conservation related fields
*Focus on how to improve any aspect of our collective work
*Involve the audience and foster conversation

We look forward to seeing you in Austin next year for another fantastic gathering of Texas land & water conservation friends and colleagues from across the state!
