PRESENTER INFORMATION
Pamela Jones, DVM, DACVIM, DACVR (Veterinary Specialists of North Texas, Fort Worth)
Dr. Pamela Jones is a graduate of Colorado State University. She completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at a private specialty practice in Phoenix, Arizona. She went on to the University of Illinois for a three-year oncology residency and followed that with a residency in radiation oncology at a private practice in Arizona. She is board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in medical oncology and by the College of Veterinary Radiology in radiation oncology. She has enjoyed specialty practice in Arizona and Texas and served in several capacities in the pharmaceutical industry.

SEMINAR TOPICS INCLUDE:
Oncology Updates: Much More Than Slash, Burn and Poison!
Oncology diagnostic testing and therapeutics are rapidly changing. Each day, more opportunities become available for veterinary patients. Dr. Jones will cover the most common tumors seen in everyday clinical practice. She will also take the time to navigate through the muddy waters of the mast cell tumor diagnostic panels that are offered through the diagnostic laboratories. She will examine some of the controversy surrounding early spay/neuter and tumor risk. Finally, the day will wrap-up with discussion of cancer screening tests and supportive care.
