The NIH Toolbox® Training Workshop is a 1 day, intensive workshop on how to administer NIH Toolbox measures using the NIH Toolbox® app. Sessions will teach the basic knowledge and skills to familiarize users with the administration of the NIH Toolbox® app self- and proxy-report measures of emotional function and the performance-based tests of cognitive, motor and sensory function.


On Tuesday, December 5, the HealthMeasures team will also host a one-day PROMIS Training Workshop. If you are interested in learning about PROMIS and the NIH Toolbox, you are invited to register for both trainings. Click here for more information on the PROMIS Training Workshop.


The cost is $250 for the PROMIS Training and $250 for the NIH Toolbox® Training Workshop*, or we will offer a $400 discounted package if you register for both the PROMIS and NIH Toolbox® Training Workshops. All attendees will be required to bring their own iPad,  with the NIH Toolbox® iPad app installed and cognition unlocked. 

*The registration fee includes a day of instruction, a copy of the NIH Toolbox® Administrator's Manual, continental breakfast and afternoon snacks.

Equipment
All attendees required to bring their own iPad*, with the NIH Toolbox® iPad app installed. To get the app, visit the App Store on your iPad, or follow this link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id1002228307

You are required to bring your own iPad*with the NIH Toolbox® app installed, for use during the training.  This will allow you to set up and retain any test batteries and practice participants that are created during the session. All other equipment and manuals will be provided. Please also bring a wireless keyboard if you plan to administer the Cognition Battery.

*To do this:

1. Bring an iPad Air 2, with Wi-Fi capacity, running iOS 8.4 or later.

For the purposes of training, you may use the app on a regular iPad.  However, the iPad app has not been validated to run on the other versions of the iPad.

For data collection you should use the recommend iPad Air 2, with Wi-Fi capacity, along with the recommended operating system (iOS 9 and later).
