Paddle the AuTrain River to Lake Superior to monitor water quality issues.  Learn about local minerals, what techniques are used to extract them, and how mining affects the environment and society.  Understand the role of the Great Lakes in shipping resources such as iron ore. Explore pristine lakes and ancient mountains. Learn how people have interacted for thousands of years with the landscapes of the Upper Peninsula.  And experience modern day Marquette while learning about urban planning and historical aspects of the city's growth.

This camp covers all necessary fees and transportation associated with field experiences and will use the facilities and technology of Northern Michigan University. Camp registration price is $599.
