Map and Directions

Join us for three days of coastal policy and politics in Washington, D.C. The goal of the ASBPA 2019 Coastal Summit is to enhance your understanding of the federal process. Speakers range from members of Congress to the folks who implement the policies we all work with. It's a great opportunity to learn, lobby and network.

Meeting with the staffers of your Member of Congress and two Senators is one of the most important things you can do in Washington. Schedule your meetings NOW for Wednesday afternoon to discuss your community’s beach issues and funding requests. Whether your project is recently completed or years away, it is critical  you maintain contact with your Members of Congress. If you would like assistance in making appointments or would like someone to accompany you, we can help! Please contact us at managing@asbpa.org.

There is an option to participate in small meetings with a number of federal agencies on Wednesday afternoon.  On Thursday afternoon there is an optional short course on Coastal Resilience as part of ASBPA's and Coastal Zone Foundation's Certified Coastal Practitioner (CCP) certification.

In order that attendees can choose from a wide range of hotels and prices, we have not set a conference hotel. Nearby hotels include:

-- Four Points by Sheraton Washington Downtown: 1201 K Street NW
-- Crowne Plaza Hamilton: 14th & K Street NW
-- Sofitel Washington: Lafayette Square 806 15th Street NW
-- Hilton Garden Inn Washington Downtown: 815 14th Street NW
-- AKA White House: 1710 H Street NW
