Discussion will include: retrofit applications, energy efficient operation and design, condensing vs. traditional boilers, boiler piping and distribution systems, high efficiency burners, control schemes, and linkage less controls. As well as a case study and tour of the Beaverton Central plant which has been designed as a highly efficient heating and cooling system to deliver services to over one million square feet. Information on current boiler incentives from the Energy Trust of Oregon and Building Operation Certificate training will also be presented.
