The first in our series of core Dialogue Education™ courses, Learning to Listen, Learning to Teach provides the building blocks of Dialogue Education™ - a powerful system for teaching and curriculum design that results in better adult learning, transfer and retention.

Based on the work of Dr. Jane Vella and her book, Learning to Listen, Learning to Teach: The Power of Dialogue in Educating Adults, this four-day course merges proven principles for successful learning with a focus on engagement, practice, constructive feedback, and accountability between learners and teacher.

By the end of this intensive 4-day program, participants will have…
reviewed Adult Learning Theory
practiced doing a Learning Needs Assessment
used the Seven Steps of Design
named and practiced the use of cognitive, affective and psycho-motor skills
examined how to make learning real, meaningful, and relevant
designed and taught using the Dialogue Education™ System
worked in and used small group effectiveness techniques
named and used the Principles and Practices for sustainable learning

Tuition includes:
4 days of instruction by Certified Dialogue Education™ Teachers who both teach and model the Principles and Practices of Dialogue Education™
a 60-page workshop manual and reference guide
two teaching tools
all workshop materials and supplies
break-time refreshments
