The fourth in the annual "Quantum Effects in Biological Systems" workshops, this meeting will cover the latest developments in the inter-disciplinary field studying quantum mechanical effects in biological and chemical structures central to life. This year's workshop will be a three-day meeting held on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley. There will be invited presentations (40+5 minutes), contributed presentations (20+5 minutes), and a poster session covering a variety of topics including:

(1) Energy and charge transfer in photosynthetic light harvesting
(2) Magnetoreception in animals
(3) Quantum tunneling phenomena in chemical and biological systems
(4) Vibrational assisted theory of olfaction
(5) Single molecule spectroscopy of biologically relevant systems
(6) Electro-chemical processes in neuroscience
