The Rincon Riders are a youth equestrian group established in 2007 as an auxiliary to the Sonoma County Driving and Riding Club (SCD&RC). The objective of the group is to:
  • Promote child welfare, by interesting and educating children in horsemanship appreciation.
  • Aid in a child-health program by encouraging participation in the healthy out-of-doors sports offered in the field of horse activities.
  • Teach children to assume responsibilities and to work in cooperation with others in self-governed projects.
  • Teach children to recognize and observe authority that they may be better prepared as the future citizens of the nation through the media of early and practical experience in self-government.
  • Secure more participation by children in the horse events of the community.
  • Create a junior organization capable of sponsoring or participating in the sponsoring of equine events.

  • learn about horses
  • enjoy trail rides
  • ride in parades
  • win ribbons at playdays
  • gain leadership skills at monthly meetings
  • make new friends who share a love of horses
  • learn skills needed to become a summer camp counselor
  • ride in our beautiful, private arena in Rincon Valley
  • outings, field trips and camping with horses

Members are limited to youth under the age of 19 on January 1st of the current year and whose parents or guardians furnish the club with the signed release from liability form with the application and payment of the annual membership.
