Online Registration

The deadline for submitting your online registration and payment is November 26.  The Early Bird fee is valid for registrations paid in full by November 14.  Payment is due upon registration if paying via credit card or upon receipt of your online invoice if paying by another method.  Space cannot be guaranteed for any registration that is not paid in full by this date.  Advance registration is strongly encouraged.

On-site Registration/Information Desk Hours
If you are unable to finalize your plans or payment by November 26, you may still register at the on-site registration desk, which will be available at the MIT Media Lab (6th floor) on Monday, December 3, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm and in the MIT Student Center (3rd floor) on Tuesday, December 4, from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.  On-site registrations will be accepted on a space-available basis.

What's Included
Full Participants registration includes proceedings and any seminar materials; a networking reception on Monday, December 3 at the MIT Media Lab; and sessions, breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks on Tuesday, December 4.

An informal gathering will be held after the close of sessions on December 4 to provide an opportunity for seminar participants to meet with the local Mass Customization Community in a relaxed atmosphere of dinner and drinks (not included with registration), and an exchange of experience and ideas.  Though this is not included with registration, your RSVP is requested to assist in planning.

MIT SCG Scholarships

A limited number of special MIT SCG Scholarships are available for members of start-ups focusing on areas addressed at the seminar.  Scholarship recipients are entitled to discounted Full Participant registration for only $490.  Those interested should apply via email to Frank Piller at piller@iimcp.org with a brief email describing their business by no later than November 9, 2012. 

Cancellations, Changes & Refunds

Requests for cancellations, substitutions or other changes may be made online until November 26, 2012.  To cancel or make a change after that date, please send email to conferences-www@mit.edu.  

Refunds for cancellations received in writing on or before November 26 will be granted less a $50 processing fee.  No refunds will be granted after that date.  No refunds will be given for portions of the registration not being used.  All refunds will be made in US dollars and will be processed in the manner in which the original payment was submitted, with the possible exception of wire payments which, at the organizers' discretion, may be refunded via check.  If a refund is made via wire transfer, any bank fees will be deducted from the refund. Credit card refunds will be issued to the original card.


A block of rooms has been made available at the Boston Cambridge Marriott (Two Cambridge Center, 50 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02142) for the nights of December 3 & 4, 2012 at a rate of $209 per night plus applicable taxes.  Please call 1-800-228-9290 or 1-617-494-6600 to make your reservation by phone, and refer to the MIT Smart Customization room block.  Rooms are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.  The deadline to make your reservation at the reduced rate is November 16, 2012.
