2013 Foundations on the Hill
Tuesday, March 19, 2013 - Wednesday, March 20, 2013
1221 22nd Street NW
Washington, DC 20037
Map and Directions
People in Washington, D.C., are not typically in agreement. However, policy advisers, staffers, press, and elected officials alike agree that tax reform is coming, and everything is on the table. Including philanthropy.
There has never been a more important time for philanthropy to gather in our nation’s capital and demonstrate the incredible impact it has. It is critical that we educate members of Congress about how philanthropy benefits their respective constituents. We must tell the stories of children educated, lives improved, neighborhoods reborn, and communities strengthened. Together, we must showcase the work that private dollars do for the public good, underscore how philanthropic innovation tackles society’s most pressing problems, and explain how philanthropy strategically invests in long-term solutions to today’s challenges.
Join hundreds of your grantmaking colleagues for Foundations on the Hill to tell members of Congress that philanthropy is an independent, innovative investment in improving our communities.
This event is cosponsored by the Alliance for Charitable Reform, Council on Foundations, and the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers.
All IRS recognized foundations and corporate giving programs are eligible to participate in the full Foundations on the Hill programs. In addition, participation is open to regional associations of grantmakers. Grant-receiving organizations are only permitted to attend the ACR Summit for Leaders portion of the FOTH program.
