Course Description and Statement of Need
In this, Cedars-Sinai’s 13th Annual Educational Meeting in Gastroenterology, a very special program has been planned to truly provide attendees information regarding the relevant new developments in gastroenterology. A group of national experts, including several renowned guest faculty, will present these findings and guidelines in a clinical context that will be useful in your gastroenterology practice. Throughout the 12 years of this meeting, the Center for Digestive Disease at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has not only provided this yearly educational event, but has also contributed significantly to the changes in how gastroenterology is practiced worldwide.

This two-day conference is intended for gastroenterologists and all other healthcare professionals who treat patients with gastrointestinal disorders. In addition to lecture format presentations, the course will include the following interactive instructional formats: debate and panel discussions, Q & A sessions, case discussions, and interactive video presentations. We look forward to once again, providing you with the latest advances and future direction in the multidisciplinary management of common, unique and complex gastrointestinal disorders.

Target Audience
This educational activity is intended for gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals who treat patients with gastrointestinal disorders.

Educational Objectives

  • Determine when to stop biologic therapy. 
  • Manage dysplasia-associated lesions.
  • Use drug monitoring to optimizing IBD medical therapy.
  • Better manage length of therapy in patients with autoimmune hepatitis.
  • Appreciate the emergence of new medications and their indications for treatment of GI motility disorders.
  • Recognize risk factors for colonoscopy complications, identify complications early, and be able to manage them properly.
