Map and Directions

This CME-accredited program will provide a comprehensive overview of major issues concerning stroke prevention in patients with atrial fibrillation, and venous thromboembolism.  Special focus will be given to risk stratification in atrial fibrillation, new anticoagulants for stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation, medical and interventional therapies for VTE, and guidelines for VTE management.  Click here to download the complete program agenda.

Experts in cardiovascular and thrombosis medicine will deliver state-of-the-art presentations incorporating perspectives from translational science, clinical research, and prevention efforts.  More than 25% of the curriculum is devoted to discussion, questions, and answers.  Following the course, clinicians will be more comfortable applying risk stratification tools to patients with atrial fibrillation or venous thromboembolism, and will be able to distinguish which of those patients will require more aggressive intervention.  Click here to download the program Learning Objectives.
