Don’t you think it’s a great idea to get away and have everything you need all in one place? Attending the annual AMTA-WA Chapter Convention gives you just that!

At convention you can network, buy great products, learn about the latest WA state massage legislation and earn CE’s all in one place. Not to mention all the fun you will have, exciting people you will meet and great prizes you may win! So find your solution under the sun this spring in Yakima at the AMTA-WA Chapter Convention. We have some exciting new events lined up for you this year including a fabulous fund-raising wine reception that will benefit the Massage Therapy Foundation!

Need a Massage?
Traveling, attending classes and practicing new techniques can create tension and stress. Take advantage of our on-site massage room, with skilled therapists from the Washington Chapter who will provide relaxation massage.

The Massage Room will be open:
Thursday 2:00 to 7:00 PM
Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Rates are $30 for 30 minutes; $60 for 60 minutes; $90 for 90 minutes.

Therapists Needed to Work the Massage Room
If you are an AMTA Washington Chapter member and would like to work a shift in the Massage Room, please call 253-312-2243 or email amtawa2013@gmail.com.  A limited number of opportunities are available, offered first come, first serve.  Therapists will be paid 60% of fees charged.

Massage Table-Check Room 
We think of everything: like not having to drag your table between classes back to your car, hotel room, or off to lunch. At AMTA-WA conventions, we provide a room to store your table in all weekend for a one-time fee of $5.00 (cash only please). The room will be open before and after classes to store your table or get it for the next session. Before bringing your table to the convention, be sure to attach your business card to your case handle and attach something (toy, scarf, etc.) so you can easily find your black case in the sea of other black cases.
 
REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Confirmations:
Confirmations will be sent via email. If registering by mail without an email address, a confirmation will be mailed to you. If you do not receive a confirmation within two weeks of sending your registration, please call 425-823-1347 to verify your registration was received.

Meals: Registration fees includes lunch on Friday and Saturday and the Friday reception. The Thursday wine tasting and Saturday Dinner are separate ticketed events. Tickets for these events may be added to your registration for additional fees. Additional guest tickets can be purchased for non-convention attendees. Please be sure to note if you are a vegetarian.

Cancellation Policy: Your convention fees will be refunded minus a $25 administrative fee if written notice is postmarked or emailed by April 19, 2013. No refunds will be issued after April 19.

Registration Deadline: Mail-in registrations must be postmarked no later than April 26, 2013. Online Registration closes at 9:00 p.m. April 29. There will be no on-site registration.

Online Registration: Pay by Visa or MasterCard. When you register online, you will know right away if your class choices are available. If one of your class choices is full, you will automatically be placed on a waiting list.

AMTA-WA and the instructors have taken precautions to provide a safe environment; however, it is impossible to guarantee absolute safety. Successful completion of each AMTA-WA course does not assume proficiency in a modality or business practice. Massage therapists have the responsibility for ensuring client safety by conducting a thorough intake, devising a safe treatment plan, working within their scope of practice and adhering to the AMTA Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Massage therapists are advised to practice the techniques prior to utilizing them in a clinical setting.
I assume the responsibility for safety by complying with the instructor or staff’s directions and by disclosing any contraindication to receiving a massage in class.
I agree to release AMTA-WA and my class instructor from all liability and responsibility for any injury, loss or damage suffered by me, my property or my clients as a result of knowledge I have received from this course.
By submitting the registration form, I agree to give AMTA-WA permission to use my photograph in future communications and marketing materials, should my photograph be taken at the 2013 Chapter convention.
