The objective of the conference is to integrate knowledge generated through basic, translational, and clinical research that can lead to novel methods and strategies for identifying and assessing biomarkers for tuberculosis.
The conference includes plenary sessions and poster sessions. The plenary sessions will feature invited speakers, and speakers selected from among those submitting abstracts for poster presentation.
This meeting is a follow-up to the conference Immunodiagnosis of Tuberculosis: New Questions, New Tools, which was held in September 2008 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA.
The objective of the workshop is to discuss the status of developing immunological correlates that may facilitate licensure of new vaccines against tuberculosis. The workshop will focus on human clinical data, and clinical assay development, emerging from clinical trials in progress to assess next-generation TB vaccines.
The workshop will be comprised of short presentations from invited speakers followed by moderated discussions, and will be of interest to tuberculosis vaccine developers, researchers, regulators, and public health partners.
Please see the FDA Workshop tab for a detailed agenda, including discussion questions.
