Passport to Success: Anticipating Immigration Reform & Addressing Today's Expanding Global Workforce

**New Speakers Added to Discuss Immigration Reform**

This Faegre Baker Daniels Immigration & Global Mobility Seminar is your company’s passport to strategically managing an expanding global workforce and obtaining first-hand information from Washington, D.C. about immigration reform initiatives that may impact your business in 2013 and beyond. As previously announced, Amy Nice, Executive Director of Immigration Policy with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is our confirmed keynote lunch speaker. Ms. Nice will provide an insider’s view on immigration reform initiatives and legislation in Congress.

In addition to Ms. Nice, we are pleased to announce that two additional Washington insiders will join us to discuss immigration reform initiatives, including possible major changes to laws impacting the agriculture sector. Former U.S. Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack and Andy Ehrlich, both of FaegreBD Consulting in our Washington, D.C. office, are involved in immigration reform initiatives and will be providing additional updates during the luncheon panel discussion.

Mary Bono Mack represented California's 45th Congressional District for 15 years and held positions on influential House committees overseeing core sectors of the U.S. economy, including the House panel that is writing the immigration reform bill. She recently appeared on CNN and MSNBC to discuss immigration reform and is a regular contributor on CNN to discuss the related public policy issues from an insider congressional perspective. Mary recently joined FaegreBD Consulting as a senior vice president in Washington, D.C., where she advises information technology and media clients on the probability of proposed immigration reforms, as well as media and strategic communication matters.

Andy Ehrlich is a principal at FaegreBD Consulting where he utilizes his extensive Washington background to the benefit of his clients by assisting them in addressing the increasingly complex legal, legislative and regulatory issues facing a wide range of stakeholders impacted by the transformation of the U.S. energy sector. Andy is also advising clients on the details of the immigration reform bill, specifically on the key elements that pertain to the agricultural sector.

In addition to immigration reform insights from Washington D.C., panelists will discuss global immigration reform and the impact on transferring multinational personnel around the world. Additional topics to be discussed at this year’s seminar will include the newly revised I-9, H-1B cap issues and strategies, temporary work visas and permanent residence, and the current and future trends with USCIS, including a session on managing more complex issues with the uptick in government audits, denials and requests for evidence.
