The Pacific Islands Environment Conference (PIEC) is jointly sponsored by governments of Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), and American Samoa.  This event draws attendance from government officials and environment leaders across the Pacific as well as the U.S. mainland.

This year’s conference marks our 27th PIEC event and Guam EPAʻs 40th anniversary.  The formal PIEC conference will be June 26 - 28, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency Guam, and will feature both plenary and breakout sessions.

Pre-Conference workshops: NOW CLOSED
There are three pre-conference workshops and two pre-conference field trips being offered this year.  Anyone registering for a field trip must be attending the three-day PIEC.  Attendance to the PIEC is not required, but encouraged, for those attending the Coral Reef Symposium and the Water Seminar.

If you only want to attend pre-conference workshops (Coral Reef Symposium or Water Seminar) and not the PIEC conference then click the registration type "Pre-conference workshops only".

Conference Fees:

Registration fee of $40.00 for the PIEC, (June 26-28) includes: 
Daily Continental Breakfast, Coffee Breaks, Lunch
and an Evening reception on Thursday
Field trips and pre-conference meetings are subject to additional fees   

Hotel Sleeping Rooms Hyatt Regency Guam: SLEEPING ROOM BLOCK NOW CLOSED
 A block of rooms has been set aside at the Hyatt Regency Guam for conference attendees, with rates starting at $159 per night (plus tax).  Airport transfers are available for a fee.  Click here for a hotel reservation form, or call 1-671-647-1234.  Group code is Non Government (G-PAR 2) at $170. per night single and double occupancy. Government Rate (G-OP15) at $159. single / $189. double per night. All rates + 11% tax rate.  Hotel room registration deadline is June 11.  

PIEC and United Airlines:
We are pleased to announce arrangements with United Airlines to offer PIEC attendees a special discount of 10% discount on the lowest applicable published and 5% discount on applicable resident fare.  Participants must visit a United Airlines local ticket office and provide the following reference code GC1312.  Seats are limited.  Mileage plus accrual will apply; Mileage plus upgrades not permitted.  Discount is valid for various CMI markets including Honolulu to Guam; based on roundtrip purchase on coach class; tickets must be issued at least 7 days prior to departure, commencing on/after June 19, and completed by July 3.
PIEC and AVIS rent a car:
We are pleased to announce arrangements with AVIS rent a car to offer PIEC attendees a special discount on car rentals. Just mention PIEC special rates. Car may be rented at airport or Hyatt Regency Guam.  Click here for details
