Creating Classroom Websites

MECHANICSBURG, Pennsylvania
Tuesday, January 28, 2014

With registration for this FREE event, all attendees will have the opportunity to purchase Dr. Heidi Hayes Jacobs' Eduplanet21 Learning Path, Creating Classroom Websites, for ongoing growth and collaboration with other educators and conference attendees.

Every educator should have a website as a 24/7 extension of their classroom.  The four walls are no longer a limitation to classroom learning.  Join Earl Nicholas,  designer of the Curriculum21 website and published author, Heidi Hayes Jacobs, as they offer guidance to the novice—one who has never done a webpage—to the more advanced—one who already has a website and wants to enhance it for better communication.

The authors will focus on what is in a web page, how to plan for it, how to expand it, and what some of the legal and ethical considerations are for making a web page open to the public.

Earl and Heidi will interact live with teachers who have designed their own websites.  They will explore the practicalities, uses, and considerations of building first a webpage and then a more robust website.  They will describe how the website has changed the ways they think about communication with their students, parents, and the community.   Novice participants will be able to see best practices in action.
