Join Senior Helpers, and Teepa Snow for either one or both seminars worth up to (3) continuing education credit hours per seminar.  The seminars will provide essential information on how to have a positive and meaningful relationship with loved ones with Alzheimer’s and dementia throughout their journey. These sessions are helpful for care providers, family members, and anyone who is trying to cope with the changes that happen with dementia. These seminars will be presented by Teepa Snow, a dementia care and dementia education specialist with over 31 years of experience in geriatrics. Teepa works closely with facilities and dementia specialty service providers throughout the country to improve and optimize programs and services to people with dementia and their families.

The regular cost for both seminars and lunch is $80.00, but if you register by December 11, 2013 you'll receive a discounted price of $65.00 to attend both seminars worth  up to (6) continuing education hours.   Lunch will be provided. 




Seminar 1: Helping Throughout the Journey of Dementia: Understanding Progression and How to Provide the Right Care and Support at the Right Time for Best Interactions and Outcomes (3 CEU’s)

Seminar 2: Providing Service and Support Throughout the Progression of Dementia: Learning How to Modify Communication and Interaction Skills, Control the Environment, and Support and Guide Others for Better Outcomes and Care for People Living with Dementia (3 CEU’s)

*Nursing participants (APRN, RN, LPN, and CNA) and Social Workers (LCSW's, LMFT's, and LMHC's) may earn up to 6 CEUs/contact hours.  AAFGC is an approved provider under CE Broker the official continuing education system for the Florida Department of Health.

Join Senior Helpers and Teepa Snow for a seminar that will provide learners with a more in depth understanding of the progression of dementia and behaviors that affect caregiving and daily programming throughout the disease. This session will be very interactive with the goal of providing knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will change daily outcomes of care.

The seminar will also highlight the importance of creating and providing meaningful activities and matching remaining abilities with environmental, interactive and task demands.
