EMPOWERING KNOWLEDGE IN A CHANGING RESEARCH LANDSCAPE

For more than a decade at the American Library Association Midwinter Meeting, Elsevier has welcomed librarians to a special event. This January, we are inviting three speakers to present their own vision of the current and future research experience:

1. Discovery: Research Landscape
Helen Josephine, Head Librarian of Terman Engineering Library
Stanford University

The researcher's ability to process information and highlight discoveries are vital to the continuity of research breakthroughs.  What does the discovery ecosystem in the scholarly community look like today?

2.
Change: Technology and Policy
Brenda L. Johnson, Ruth Lilly Dean of University Libraries
Indiana University - Bloomington

Change in information discovery and dissemination continues to happen at a rapid pace. What challenges lie ahead for librarians and universities?

3. Collaboration: Enriching the Research Experience
Cameron Ross, Vice President of Product Management
Elsevier

How do all the pieces come together to enrich the research experience, in terms of integrating discovery tools, technological innovation and information?
