Spend an extraordinary 4 days and 3 nights engaged in photographing some of the most unique, diverse, pristine and scenic locations in the American Southwest. Explore Ted Turner’s Ladder and Armendaris Ranches near Truth or Consequences, New Mexico with photographer and educator Jerry Courvoisier.
In addition to the photographic opportunities, learn about the historical, geographical and the natural history significant to each location. Learn about Ted Turner’s vision and stewardship of the land with the assistance of a Ted Turner Expedition (TTX) Guide.
Whatever your preference is for capturing images, iPhone, digital SLRs, or point and shoot cameras, we will explore camera techniques for the aesthetic as well as the technical application in the field. We will meet mid afternoon for reviews and group discussions on a variety of digital image processing techniques such as: cataloging, image development and enhancement processing, high dynamic range capture, stitching and processing panoramic images and converting color images to toned black and white. Printers will be on site to print your work for display.
Experience your own private national park and enjoy what is akin to safari on American soil. Join us for an experience that will expand your visual creativity and develop your sense of place on this eco-conscious journey.
