Learn specific strategies and practical tools to help children struggling with self-control and/or attention (AD/HD) work productively and play appropriately within classroom, home and other social situations. Dr Sosne has distilled his 30 years of successful clinical experience with thousands of children and the latest research into 10 key strategies and dozens of specially designed recreational activities that build key behavioral, cognitive and social skills that benefit all children.

 This course is for teachers, counselors, parents and therapists.

  • Current AD/HD treatment practices and myths of AD/HD

  • Understanding the role of context, expectations and factors corrosive to attention
  • The role of medication: risks and benefits

  • Key questions, phrases and language that helping children develop self awareness and positive behavior

Live Class Component

One of the most powerful experiences of this course is the opportunity to watch Dr. Sosne teach a class of students his techniques. Previous evaluations rank this as one of the best parts of this course.

After your registration you will receive a link to our learning management center where you can preview all of the activities that will be taught in the course, including course videos, lectures, readings, quizzes and background material. This allows you to learn the ADHD course curriculum at a convenient time and location, to repeatedly watch and practice activities, to test and reinforce your new knowledge with interactive quizzes, and to deepen your learning with supplemental materials.

After you complete the pre-course materials we can get right to business with our one-day workshop focused primarily on deepening your knowledge and refining your skills

Offered cooperatively by Portland State University, Continuing Education in the Graduate School of Education (CE/ED) and Still Moving Yoga, LLC. One PSU Undergraduate or Graduate Credit and/or 10 CEU/Clock Hours available.   Coursework also qualifies for professional development credit. Certificate of training hours provided.

The Course Fee is payable directly to Still Moving Yoga, LLC. PSU credit registration forms available at the course. PSU will bill and collect the the Credit Fee after the course.
