The Rhode Island Hospital Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Division is pleased to announce its 6th Annual TRAUMA CARE Conference being held on October 16th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, RI.

This years' TRAUMA CARE Conference "It's Complicated" will discuss the challenges of caring for traumatically injured patients with complex presentations and atypical scenarios.
The curriculum is designed to enhance knowledge and skills as we review evidence-based practices and future directions of trauma care.

Massachusetts and Connecticut area to learn and collaborate on
critical issues impacting the care of traumatically injured patients.

Physician Accreditation: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Rhode Island Medical Society through the joint sponsorship of Rhode Island Hospital and University Surgical Associates, Inc.  Rhode Island Hospital is accredited by the Rhode Island Medical Society to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians Rhode Island Hospital designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.™
Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CEU's:  This program has been approved by the Rhode Island State Nurses Association for 5.5 contact hours.  The Rhode Island State Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

EMT Education Hours: This program has been approved for 5 hours of continuing education for EMS providers through Mass. Department of Public Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services (MA OEMS).  MA OEMS is the approver of continuing education for all Massachusetts Emergency medical Services. 

Social Workers: This program has been submitted to the collaboration of NASW for a total of 5.5 credit hours in accordance with the regulations of the board of Registration of Social Workers.

    Continental breakfast, snacks, lunch and lecture materials are included in registration fee.

    Registration refund requests must be received in writing at the Trauma Program Office before 10/3/14.  No refunds will be issued after that date.  In the unlikely event that this conference is cancelled, conference fees will be refunded to all pre-registered participants.
