Course Description  
The ​clinical ​neurosciences ​are ​undergoing ​rapid ​changes ​in ​the ​diagnosis ​and ​treatment ​of ​Neuroendocrine ​disorders, ​particularly ​those ​concerning ​the ​management ​of ​pituitary ​disorders. This ​activity ​is ​designed ​to ​provide ​endocrinologists, ​internists ​and ​allied ​healthcare ​professionals ​who ​are ​involved ​in ​the ​care ​of ​patients ​with ​pituitary ​disorders, ​with ​increased ​awareness ​and ​improved ​ability ​to ​assess ​both ​established ​and ​emerging ​treatment ​options ​for ​the ​management ​of ​pituitary ​disorders. ​ ​ Attendees ​will ​be ​presented ​with ​information ​on ​treatment ​therapy ​options ​in ​an ​interdisciplinary ​fashion ​through ​lectures ​and ​case ​presentations. ​ ​There ​will ​be ​ample ​opportunity ​to ​engage ​in ​interactive ​discussions ​and ​question ​and ​answer ​sessions ​with ​our ​renowned ​faculty.  

Educational Objectives        
  • List advantages of endoscopic surgery for pituitary pathology       
  • Apply the single-surgeon technique for treatment of pituitary adenomas 
  • Manage complications of single-surgeon endoscopic trans-sphenoidal technique   
  • Evaluate recommendations for clinical, visual and endocrine testing, and imaging evaluation and follow-up of patients with a pituitary incidentaloma        
  • Access what the indications are for surgical removal of incidentalomas
