Program Description

Data gathered in the Events Industry can and should be utilized to build knowledge of your attendees and sponsors/exhibitors.  This session will provide a vision of Big Data in the world today, how you can effectively tap into sources of data and how best to utilize this information.

Join Eric Feinberg of ForeSee and Skip Cox of Exhibit Surveys as they present insights into how you can begin to better capture and understand customer experience analytics.  It is likely your organization “isn’t there yet” and you know that future budgets won’t allow for new investments to capture this information.  Attend this session and begin to understand how “doing a little now” may contribute to future knowledge (data).  Planners and suppliers alike will find relevant, events industry case studies as referenced by the presenters.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Learn from metric analysis experts, inside and outside of the Events industry, about ways to gather and use Big Data.
  • We will demystify the term Big Data by describing what Big Data is and what it isn’t.
  • Is Big Data available to your organization and can you apply Big Data techniques and concepts to your events and organizations?
  • Are you capturing and sharing information across your organization to increase your knowledge of attendees, potential attendees and advocates?
  • What steps do you need to take in beginning to capture this critical information?
  • What support is your organization providing to capture a broader range of new information?
