Please join us for a special evening with John Hope Bryant for a Conversation on How the Poor Can Save Capitalism. Mr. Bryant is the founder of Operation Hope and a member of the President’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability.

Released in June, How the Poor Can Save Capitalism makes a compelling argument that our nation’s economic vitality is dependent on inclusion of consumers on the lower rungs of the economic ladder. He asserts that the top spenders in our country are not the wealthy, business or government – they are consumers in the bottom 80% of the American workforce with “too much month at the end of their money.” Bryant also addresses the root causes of poverty in America, as well as opportunities for potential entrepreneurs, homeowners, and community builders who are aspire to achieve the American Dream. The book has garnered high praise across the nation from individuals such as U.S. President Bill Clinton and Ambassador Andrew Young.

Bryant, a businessman and thought leader, is a passionate voice for change and empowerment. As the CEO and founder of Operation HOPE, he focuses on making free enterprise work for all people by serving as the nonprofit private banker for the working poor, the underserved and struggling middle class. Aside from his work with Operation Hope, Bryant is a member of the Forum of Young Global Leaders for the World Economic Forum. He served as the vice chair on the U.S. President’s Advisory Council on Financial Literacy and chairman of the Committee on the Underserved.
