Course Description

This is a two-day comprehensive course that reinforces and builds on the principles taught in the Kettlebell Trainer Course. The 20 teaching methods and progressions from the Trainer Course are evaluated and further refined. Participants also learn more kettlebell exercises (to include techniques for kettlebell sport) to complete their training arsenal and enhance strength, power, athleticism, explosiveness and work capacity. These include wall-ball substitute, windmill, side press, bent press, deadlift variations and competition kettlebell lifts (snatch, jerk, long cycle). General and specific physical preparation for kettlebell sport is addressed, focusing on optimizing technique and maximizing results. This includes special assistance and endurance exercises for competition, sport-specific flexibility, and sport-specific program design.

Schedule
  • 9 a.m.-5 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch break
  • Arrive at 8:30 a.m. on Day 1 to check in.
Prerequisites

One must:
  • Hold a valid and current CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate (or a CF-L3); and
  • Hold a valid and current CrossFit Kettlebell Trainer Certificate.
(If your Kettlebell Trainer Certificate was earned prior to 2011, we strongly recommend taking the course again at a 50 percent tuition discount).

This course is only available in English.

To Bring
  • Printed version of the registration receipt.
  • Government-issued photo ID.
  • Seminar Guide (sent with course confirmation emails) with pen/pencil.
  • Suitable clothes for working out.
  • Snacks and fluids, as well as a meal if you do not plan on going off site during the lunch break.
Credentials and Requirements

To receive a Kettlebell Advanced Trainer Certificate, one must:
  1. Meet the prerequisites;
  2. Attend and participate in all parts of the Advanced Kettlebell Trainer Course;
  3. Pass the coaching assessment test;
  4. Pass the performance test; and
  5. Pass the snatch test.
If you do not meet these requirements, you are issued a Certificate of Attendance.

Payment Instructions

  • The fee for the CrossFit Advanced Kettlebell Trainer Course is $595 (US dollars). Payment can be made via credit card or check. The final balance is due paid in full three weeks prior to the course or your spot will be forfeited. A $250 deposit is necessary to hold your place and payments may be made until three weeks prior to the course start date.

    Credit card payments can be made online during the course registration and the exchange rate is calculated automatically for payments drawn against non-US banks.

    Checks are accepted in US funds ONLY. You must indicate for whom and for what course the payment is to be applied on the check. In addition, complete and send this form with the check, using one of the two following options for sending the form and the check:
