This first in a series of three Integrated Approach to Wellness curriculum courses introduces the Yoga Calm® wellness system, including its basic principles and 20 tools including breathing exercises, simple yoga poses, social/emotional skill development activities, relaxation/storytelling processes and emotional guidance techniques. Through engaging and fun community-building activities, reflection and discussion, you will experience firsthand how Yoga Calm’s unique integration of physical, mental and emotional skills-building supports both learning and health.
Yoga Calm was developed from over 35 years of classroom, counseling and research experience. Its college accredited courses, award-winning materials and classroom, home and clinic tested methods are used by thousands of educators, parents and therapists.
Offered in conjunction with Portland State University, Continuing Education in the Graduate School of Education (CE/ED). One PSU Graduate Credit option available. Certificate of training provided.
Coursework also applies towards the Yoga Calm Youth Instructor Certification program.
