The 18th annual Elevator U conference is planned for June 23-25, 2015.  The conference is being hosted by The Ohio State University (Elevator U Professional Member Kathleen Harper), Columbus, OH. The conference and vendor expo will be held at the Blackwell Inn and Conference Center. The agenda includes great educational sessions for all, a vendor show, silent auction and the return of the popular Vendor-mercials.  

The following presentations have been approved by NAESA International for Continuing Education Units.

  • Hydraulic Telescopic Jack Application and Service - .1 CEU
  • Improving Maintenance Through Inspection - .1 CEU

The NAEC Education Committee has reviewed your Continuing Education Application for the 2015 Elevator U - Annual Conference. We are pleased to inform you that the committee has approved the educational content at total value of 5.5 hours CET, 4.5 hours CAT and 1.0 Safety credit for a total of 6.5 contact hours.

One of the topics of education will include discussion on the benefits of having your own in-house elevator repair team or whether to contract those services outside your facility. Elevator U has professional members who do both and the information they share will be helpful in determining what the pros and cons are of each.

Transportation to the golf course is up to the participants.

Club rental is extra and must be set up ahead of time by the individual. A shirt with a collar or mock collar must be worn and shorts must be at least mid thigh in length.  No denim is allowed and no steel spikes; soft spikes only.

    “There is a need for colleges, universities, government agencies and public institutions to have an organized vehicle to promote excellence in design, construction and maintenance of all forms of vertical transportation. ELEVATOR U is a voluntary association of individuals the purposes of which are exclusively charitable and educational.

    As technologies, materials and business practices continually change, we need to ensure we have an organization to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and technical expertise to properly build and maintain vertical transportation that is safe, durable and efficient.

    To create a forum where stewards of vertical transportation systems can exchange ideas and information.
    To accumulate technical information and make it easily accessible to members.
    To provide information and education for the benefit of the elevator industry.
    To provide a regular opportunity for gathering to share fellowship, information and education.
    To acquire means to reinvest in the charitable and educational interest of ELEVATOR U.
