AWP San Francisco 2015 Exhibitor Information

On behalf of the Association of Women in Psychology 2015 Conference Committee, we are writing to THANK YOU for your interest to exhibit at our upcoming conference. We are very excited that the 20th Annual AWP Conference will be here at the Holiday Inn Downtown Golden Gate Hotel in San Francisco, CA on March 5 - 8, 2015. We expect approximately 500 or more participants to attend this conference and we are looking forward to featuring many local exhibitors and sponsors at the conference. AWP is a grassroots organization that depends on volunteers and sponsors to make the conference a success.

Conference participants are generally a multidisciplinary mixture of feminist academics, activists, mental health professionals, and students. Although AWP does not use or list degrees in its materials, AWP members and conference attendees hold a variety of degrees including Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorates in a variety of disciplines concerned with all aspects of psychology. This national conference will attract many local San Francisco women and men, as well as, participants from all over the United States and beyond.

The exhibit area is always a highlight for conference participants. Vendors and publishers have the opportunity to connect with professionals who are committed to supporting women-owned businesses and who are excited to see what's new in Women's Studies and the Psychology of Women and Girls. Many attendees look forward to leaving the conference with armloads of books and other unique items and crafts.

Please read the following contract and exhibitor guidelines for information regarding hotel rules and exhibitor rates and benefits. After covering the program printing costs, the proceeds from your exhibit fees will pay assisting individuals needing personal assistance and additional support in attending the conference and will serve as additional subsidy for our scholarship fund.

Your participation will help make this grassroots conference a success!

40th Annual AWP 2015 Conference Theme:

Feminism & Restorative Justice
REPAIRING, RESTORING, AND REINTEGRATING

Through exploring the meaning of restorative justice within a feminist psychological context, we will examine the ways feminists can help heal and rebuild communities through therapy, research, advocacy, and social change. We recognize that people are driven to engagement in activities that can harm others, communities and society. However, in the spirit of feminist psychology, we also recognize that systems of oppression related to gender, race, among other areas of difference can impact people’s access to economic, socio-emotional and psychological resources, and that a lack of resources drives increased interaction with the criminal justice system. We will explore how collaborating with one another, learning from multiple perspectives, challenging privileges, and leaning into tensions fuels this work.
