This workshop blends lecture, experiential learning, reflection and strategies for implementation to allow participants to learn breathing exercises, simple yoga poses and social emotional skill development activities to integrate into their homes and classrooms.  Participants will learn sequences that help with focus, regulation, sleep and relaxation.  No yoga experience necessary.  A primary focus will be on self care.  We must put our oxygen mask on first to help others.

This first in a series of three workshops introduces the Yoga Calm® wellness system, including its basic principles and 20 tools including breathing exercises, simple yoga poses, social/emotional skill development activities, relaxation/storytelling processes and emotional guidance techniques. Through engaging and fun community-building activities, reflection and discussion, you will experience first hand how Yoga Calm’s unique integration of physical, mental and emotional skills-building supports both learning and health.

Yoga Calm was developed from over 35 years of classroom, counseling and research experience. Its college accredited courses, award-winning materials and classroom, home and clinic tested methods are used by thousands of educators, parents and therapists. More information at
