Overview

The Internet of Things is receiving a good deal of attention in the general as well as the business press. Much of the discussion, however, is still at the conceptual level. While this is a valuable to begin, some insurers are moving to the test planning stage. In order to plan, many questions must be answered. What should insurers consider as they explore the opportunities and details involved with implementation? What are the “blocking and tackling” issues that they should be aware of? How do companies perform meaningful experiments to test different IoT approaches?

Responding to a request from a previous Roundtable attendee, Celent will hold an exclusive, invitation-only event involving senior leaders from insurance firms. This four-hour interactive session follows the roundtable format: a peer-to-peer discussion between innovation, business, and IT leaders, facilitated by Celent analysts and supplemented by Celent research. Additionally, Mick Simonelli, previously the Chief Innovation Officer at USAA, will lend his viewpoint based on prototyping, testing, and launching emerging technologies.
