Course Description

This course is open to anyone interested in maximizing personal performance and acquiring the skills to be a proficient kettlebell instructor. Participants learn how to effectively teach kettlebell exercises, quickly assess and correct common errors, and safely conduct kettlebell training. Exercises reviewed at the course include the swing, Turkish get-up, clean, overhead press, and snatch, as well as multiple variations of these movements. Mobility drills are demonstrated and practiced before each training session, followed by a short stretching routine at the end of each day. Completion of this course will enable participants to enhance their own CrossFit programming and performance.

Schedule
  • 9 a.m.-5 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch break
  • Arrive at 8:30 a.m. on Day 1 to check in.
Prerequisites

None.

Language

This course will be presented in English with a Spanish translator.

To Bring
  • Printed version of the registration receipt.
  • Government-issued photo ID.
  • Seminar Guide (sent with course confirmation emails) with pen/pencil.
  • Suitable clothes for working out.
  • Snacks and fluids, as well as a meal if you do not plan on going off site during the lunch break.
Credentials and Requirements

To receive a Kettlebell Trainer Certificate, one must:
  1. Hold a valid and current CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate (or a CF-L3);
  2. Attend and participate in all parts of the Kettlebell Trainer Course; and
  3. Pass the performance test.
If you do not meet these requirements, you are issued a Certificate of Attendance.

Payment Instructions

  • The fee for the CrossFit Kettlebell Trainer Course is $595 (US dollars). Payment can be made via credit card or check. The final balance is due paid in full three weeks prior to the course or your spot will be forfeited. A $250 deposit is necessary to hold your place and payments may be made until three weeks prior to the course start date.

    Credit card payments can be made online during the course registration and the exchange rate is calculated automatically for payments drawn against non-US banks.

    Checks are accepted in US funds ONLY. You must indicate for whom and for what course the payment is to be applied on the check. In addition, complete and send this form with the check, using one of the two following options for sending the form and the check:
