We are now accepting speaker proposals for 2018 on the following topics of interest.

  • Concussions: Perspectives for Interdisciplinary Action
  • Using Technology and Data for High Performance
  • State-of-the-Art Sport Facilities: More Money, More Problems?
  • New Trends in Substance Use, Abuse, and Detection
  • Multidisciplinary Approaches to Athletes with Disordered Eating
  • Female Sport Professionals Working Within Male-Dominated Sports
  • Addressing Stress Management, Depression, and Performance Anxiety in Athletes
  • Understanding Generational Differences Between Athletes and the Multidisciplinary Team

Please email Lara Gray, Director of Education (lgray@drugfreesport.com), with specific speaker contact information, a current bio, desired honorarium, and 3-5 bullets detailing how you/your recommended speaker offer expertise in the proposed topic area. Submissions will be received until April 30, 2017. Honorariums apply only to accepted applications.



Multidisciplinary Sport Audience:

The Sport Exchange Summit 2018 aims to bring together certified athletic trainers, coaches, sport dietitians, sport psychologists, strength & conditioning specialists, team physicians, administrators, agents, and other personnel to exchange ideas, share best practices, examine trends, and learn about cutting edge developments in sport.

Our program is presented by respected speakers in each topic area and includes expert panel discussions to encourage questions and tailored learning opportunities.

Learning Objectives:

At the close of the Sport Exchange Summit, Powered by Drug Free Sport, participants will be able to:

  • Summarize current, pressing topics affecting athlete health and performance at all levels of competition. 
  • Identify challenges and opportunities in creating a more collaborative (versus competitive) professional environment within sports organizations to enhance player development, health, and performance. 
  • Consider the significance and psycho-social relevance of race and diversity, LGBTQIA, prescription and recreational drug abuse, drug-testing, and other concerns for athletes within today’s sports organizations.  
  • Describe the importance and impact of building a collaborative sports medicine and performance family that includes sports nutrition, sports psychology, and effective player engagement.
