Join us as we celebrate our second annual Celebrating Animals/Confronting Cruelty: Miami! benefit and help support the rescue, care, placement and re-homing of thousands of animals every year, across the country and in our own South Florida neighborhoods.

Through our Animal Rescue Team and our five care centers across the country, The Humane Society of the United States directly cares for thousands of animals—pets and imperiled wildlife—each year. The HSUS Animal Rescue Team provides vital efforts on the ground, saving animals from puppy mills, fighting pits, hoarders, neglect and natural disasters. The team works with law enforcement to investigate and respond with expertise, equipment and financial resources to the worst cases of animal abuse nationwide.

While the Animal Rescue Team is tackling cruelty across the country, our South Florida Wildlife Center—one of the largest wildlife trauma hospitals and rehabilitation facilities in the country in patient volume—rescues and rehabilitates 12,000 to 14,000 wild animals each year in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. With more than 60 employees and hundreds of active volunteers, the SFWC treats and rehabilitates more than 255 different species of wildlife, with the goal of releasing them back to nature to live wild and free. From saving orphaned baby birds and mammals to nursing pelicans, herons, songbirds and raptors back to health, the SFWC protects our treasured wildlife from life-threatening situations through rescue, rehabilitation and education, 365 days a year.

Help us make a meaningful difference in the lives of thousands of animals throughout the country and right here in our backyard.
