Safety is part of a risk manager’s tool belt, but we are not using it very often. At times, the hammer (insurance) is the only tool used and every issue looks like a nail. The role of the risk manager is changing and they are now being asked to treat risks that cannot be purchased with insurance. With the ARM course now teaching ERM as a foundational element, the traditional risk manager is becoming a dinosaur unless they learn to adapt. This keynote shows how the safety professional is rising to the challenge and how risk managers and safety professionals need to leverage areas of expertise to be more successful.
This event is a joint effort of the ASSE Cascade Chapter and Oregon OSHA.
