Dr. Walkup will review the evidence phase for initial treatment, but also emphasize the treatment of anxiety in the context of comorbid conditions such as ADHD.  He will also discuss the management of refractory anxiety disorders and OCD, and also discuss how psychiatric practitioners can implement evidence based, CBT consistent guidance within the pharmacologic treatment paradigm.

Treatment of Mood Disorders - John Walkup, MD


Dr. Walkup will review the evidence base for depression focusing on the large and pivotal treatment trials over the past 10 years.  He will discuss algorithms for refractory depression and the management of depression and co-occurring conditions. He will highlight the difference between depression and demoralization and also briefly touch on the bipolar depression.
