Course Description

The Striking Trainer Course teaches participants how to increase overall fitness, core strength, and rotational speed and power by incorporating striking drills into CrossFit workouts. Striking movements are some of the most functional core movements because punching and kicking with true power, speed and accuracy require people to utilize their entire body. This is why fighters are some of the most well conditioned and powerful athletes in the world.

With this in mind, the Striking Trainer Course is designed to give participants the ability to teach athletes the basic striking concepts of mixed martial arts, boxing and self-protection. The course also teaches ways to incorporate these skills into workouts for greater variance. All this is done in a non-contact format that focuses on proper technique by using shadow boxing, focus mitts, kick shields and a heavy bag.

  • 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch break
  • Arrive at 8 a.m. on Day 1 to check in.



This course is only available in English.

To Bring
  • Printed version of the registration receipt.
  • Government-issued photo ID.
  • A pair of quality MMA striking/bag gloves. These can be purchased at many sporting-goods stores.
  • Notebook with pen/pencil.
  • Suitable clothes for working out.
  • Snacks and fluids, as well as a meal if you do not plan on going off site during the lunch break.
  • Participants under 18 need to bring a waiver, completed and signed by his or her parent or legal guardian.  Under-18 participants may not participate in the course without this document at registration.
Credentials and Requirements

To receive a Striking Trainer Certificate, one must:
  1. Hold a valid and current CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate (or CF-L3);
  2. Attend and participate in all parts of the Striking Trainer Course; and
  3. Pass the performance and written test.
If you do not meet these requirements, you are issued a Certificate of Attendance. If a participant chooses to opt out of the test, he or she is issued a Certificate of Attendance.

Payment Instructions

  • The fee for the CrossFit Striking Trainer Course is $595 (US dollars). Payment can be made via credit card or check. The final balance is due paid in full three weeks prior to the course or your spot will be forfeited. A $250 deposit is necessary to hold your place and payments may be made until three weeks prior to the course start date.

    Credit card payments can be made online during the course registration and the exchange rate is calculated automatically for payments drawn against non-US banks.

    Checks are accepted in US funds ONLY. You must indicate for whom and for what course the payment is to be applied on the check. In addition, complete and send this form with the check, using one of the two following options for sending the form and the check:
