The Summer Academy will convene Monday, August 1, through Wednesday, August 3, at the Hilton Columbus Downtown, 401 North High Street, Columbus, OH. Registration will start at 7:30 AM on Monday, followed by the Welcome and Keynote Speaker at 9:30 AM. The concurrent sessions will begin at 11:00 AM.
The Academy is for OEA members only. Therefore, members must use their OEA Member ID to complete the registration process. The registration fee is $100. However, scholarship assistance may be available from your local or district association. Be sure to ask your local leaders about scholarship assistance.
A block of sleeping rooms has been reserved at the Hilton Columbus Downtown. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING YOUR OWN HOTEL RESERVATIONS. Please click on the lodging tab for more information about the hotel and online reservations.
Parking is complimentary if you self-park in the VINE STREET GARAGE (WEST PARKING GARAGE). However, members are strongly encouraged to carpool in order to keep the cost to OEA down.
Room Reservations and Parking Fees: If you have a sleeping room, please do not pay upon entering the parking garage. Tell the attendant that you are with the OEA Summer Academy at the Hilton, and then pull a ticket to enter the garage. After you check-in, use your room key for in and out parking access. Please verify with the registration desk that your room key has in/out parking garage access.
Daily Parking without a Hotel Stay: If you do not have a sleeping room and you are a “DAY PARKER,” tell the attendant that you are with the OEA Summer Academy at the Hilton, and then pull a ticket to enter the garage. You will need the ticket that you pulled, along with another "chaser" ticket distributed by OEA staff member Carol Price, to use when exiting. You will need both tickets to exit without being charged.
If you need HANDICAP PARKING, there are handicap parking spaces available on every level of the parking garage. These spaces are first come/first served.

DO NOT VALET PARK. OEA WILL NOT COVER THIS COST.
If you choose to valet park, the cost is $24.00 for overnight valet and $15.00 for the day. This expense is non-reimbursable, and you will be responsible for the cost.
Please build in time for entering and exiting the parking garage. The hotel/garage has a stop light at each corner. It can take up to 5-25 minutes to get in and out of the garage.
A choice of online credit card payment or check payment is available during the online registration process.
CHECK PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS: If you wish to pay by check, please print the invoice found at the end of this registration process. Then mail the check or money order made out to the Ohio Education Association, along with a printed copy of your registration email confirmation by July 15th, to:
