Assignments Due June 24, 2016

Building on the success of previous institutes, the Alaska School Leadership Institute (ASLI) 2016 will engage participants in integrating improvement and innovation strategies to ensure effective instruction through the implementation of standards-based and research-proven strategies. Institute learning strands will expand and deepen learning practices in the following areas - supporting instructional excellence, effective implementation and building human capital strategies for recruitment and retention of qualified educators.

Choose one of the two assignments:

1) Reflection Paper:
What are your implementation priorities for 2016 – 2017?
Write a 2-4 page paper on your plan for next year.  Discuss how you will use your professional development and implementation science learnings to either 1)  improve human capital policies and practices at your school or district, or 2) ensure instructional excellence using professional learning.

Email your paper to alaskaprincipal@gmail.com no later than June 24.

2)  Online Teams Site:  Are you interested in learning more about the Teaching Channel Teams site?  After you register online for the credit class you will receive an invitation to join the ASLI CREDIT Group on the Teaching Channel Teams site. Join the group and complete a Learning Plan that is designed to:

  1. give you a tour of some of the features of the Teams site,
  2. investigate and provide feedback on an ELA or Math Learning Plan, and
