An Intensive week of missions training for churches interested or already engaged in missions opportunities. An opportunity to connect with IMB missionaries and other churches who are making disciples and multiplying churches among unreached peoples and places for the glory of God.  The purpose is to learn more about some of the most fruitful missions practices currently being utilized and to sharpen each other as we strive to equip ourselves for the Kingdom's sake.

Themes: Six independent tracks/workshops will be provided. Additional breakout sessions will be offered this year to give all participants an opportunity to engage in different topics.

Missions Scope:
This is a broad-spectrum overview of key topics for effective missions (based around the PartnerConnect series). A variety of fundamental, but deep, Biblically-based topics will be covered that may challenge some traditional views of missions.  This track will be facilitated by experienced field missionaries and is designed to help the participants both apply and equip others in these topics.

Urban Missions:
This track will explore the importance of cities and the potential of those cities to make Christ known globally.  We will consider how your church might join the strategies of city teams and urban partners,  Specifically, we will delve into topics such as developing urban prayer strategies, building relationships with national partners, understanding the city/neighborhood, making urban disciples, starting city churches, and mobilizing disciples from the city to the world.

Orality - Presenting Scripture Effectively for Oral Preference Learners:
This will provide an overview of oral strategies historically and currently being used in missions and then work through some specific tools to aid the development of Biblical oral strategies for church planting and discipleship. Some previous experience or exposure to Bible Storying suggested.

Community Transformation Training:
The training of nationals in the use of community development lessons (basic, preventative health care lessons) as an outreach to prevent common physical problems; improve the overall health of a community; and to establish legitimate relationships with non-believers in order to tell God's story. The training will look at ways to incorporate healthcare and other human needs aspects into your overall comprehensive church planting strategy. The process discussed will have a heavy emphasis on training nationals as well as on orality.

Advanced - Taking an in-depth look at Comprehensive Engagement Plans:
This is a track developed for churches who are currently implementing or are a part of a church planting engagement plan.  It will provide an opportunity for churches to share their plans and experiences working together to overcome challenges.  Experienced missionaries will facilitate conversation and coach you through biblical processes for multiplying disciples and churches. - Previous Missions College attendance and current engagement required.

Advanced - Basecamp for Sub-Saharan Africa
This is a core training specifically designed for partnerships working in the Sub-Saharan African Affinity.

Check-in begins Tuesday, January 17 at 1:00 p.m.  Sessions start at 3:30 p.m., followed by Dinner and a Plenary Session.  Training concludes at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20
(There is no extra charge to stay over Friday night.)

This training is aimed at U.S. church pastors and members engaging or desiring to help with cross cultural church planting. This training is excellent for all different levels of engagement, helping to improve the effectiveness of one-time short-term trips as well as more intensive strategy development for longer-term strategic partnerships and Embrace churches. Churches are encouraged to send enough participants to have at least one person attending each of the core tracts.
