Course Description

The CrossFit Specialty Course: Weightlifting Level 2 builds on the fundamental principles that are explored in the CrossFit Weightlifting Specialty Course. This rigorous advanced course will enable participants to provide richer detail in teaching the Olympic lifts, including improved ability to see and correct errors.

Through a mix of lectures and practical breakouts, participants gain proficiency in identifying "root causes" of both successful and failed lifts, using methods such as movement assessment protocols, strength ratios and case study, as well as video and real-time technical analysis of each other.

In addition, participants enhance their coach’s "tool kit" with specific programming, cues, drills and remedies. Graduates of the Level 2 Course will feel confident in their ability to advance weightlifting performance at the recreational and competitive levels for both groups and individuals.

Schedule

  • 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch break
  • Arrive at 8:00 a.m. on Day 1 to check in.
Prerequisites

One must:
  • Hold a valid and current CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate (or higher).
  • Hold a valid and current CrossFit Weightlifting Trainer Certificate.
Language

The default language for this course is English. Any course with a translator are specified in the "Language" section from the event registration link.

What To Bring

  • Printed version of the registration receipt.
  • Government-issued photo ID.
  • Seminar Guide (sent with course confirmation emails) with pen/pencil.
  • Suitable clothes for working out (be ready to lift heavy) and weightlifting shoes (if you have them).
  • Snacks and fluids, as well as a meal if you do not plan on going off site during the lunch break.
  • Participants under 18 need to bring a waiver, completed and signed by his or her parent or legal guardian.  Under-18 participants may not participate in the course without this document at registration.
Requirements

To receive a Weightlifting Level 2 Trainer Certificate, one must:
  • Meet the prerequisites; and
  • Attend and participate in all parts of the Weightlifting Level 2 Specialty Course.
If you do not meet these requirements, you are issued a Certificate of Attendance.

Payment Instructions

  • The fee for the CrossFit Specialty Course: Weightlifting Level 2 is $595 (US dollars). Payment can be made via credit card or check. The final balance is due paid in full three weeks prior to the course or your spot will be forfeited. A $250 deposit is necessary to hold your place and payments may be made until three weeks prior to the course start date.

    Credit card payments can be made online during the course registration and the exchange rate is calculated automatically for payments drawn against non-US banks.

    Checks are accepted in US funds ONLY. You must indicate for whom and for what course the payment is to be applied on the check. In addition, complete and send this form with the check, using one of the two following options for sending the form and the check:
