Course Description

Two days are spent detailing each lift (snatch on Day 1, clean and jerk on Day 2). The focus is on participants experiencing the basic positions and learning the foundational teaching points for instructing others to achieve them. The snatch and clean and jerk bring speed, power, coordination, agility, accuracy and balance to training and are indispensable to CrossFit programming and developing a well-rounded athlete.

Schedule
  • 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch break
  • Arrive at 8:30 a.m. on Day 1 to check in.
Prerequisites

None.

Language

This course will be presented in English.

To Bring
  • Printed version of the registration receipt.
  • Government issued photo ID.
  • Seminar Guide (sent with course confirmation emails) with pen/pencil.
  • Suitable clothes for working out and weightlifting shoes (if you have them).
  • Snacks and fluids, as well as a meal if you do not plan on going off-site during the lunch break.
  • Participants under 18 need to bring a waiver completed and signed by his or her parent or legal guardian. Under 18 participants may not participate in the course without this document at registration
Credentials and Requirements

To receive a Weightlifting Trainer Certificate, one must:
  1. Hold a valid and current CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate (or a CF-L3); and
  2. Attend and participate in all parts of the CrossFit Specialty Course: Weightlifting.
If you do not meet these requirements, you are issued a Certificate of Attendance.

Payment Instructions

  • The fee for the CrossFit Specialty Course: Weightlifting is $595 (US dollars). Payment can be made via credit card or check. The final balance is due paid in full three weeks prior to the course or your spot will be forfeited. A $250 deposit is necessary to hold your place and payments may be made until three weeks prior to the course start date.

    Credit card payments can be made online during the course registration and the exchange rate is calculated automatically for payments drawn against non-US banks.

    Checks are accepted in US funds ONLY. You must indicate for whom and for what course the payment is to be applied on the check.  In addition, complete and send this form with the check, using one of the two following options for sending the form and the check:
