DHS Silicon Valley Innovation Program Homeland Security Day for the Financial Services Sector
Monday, November 14, 2016 8:00 AM - 12:15 PM (Eastern Time)

Courtyard Boston Downtown
275 Tremont Street
International Building

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) must rapidly identify and develop technologies to counter emerging threats.  The Cyber Security Division (CSD) conducts and supports research, development, testing, and evaluation to secure the Nation's current critical information infrastructure and to plan for a more secure infrastructure in the future. Protecting the Nation’s Financial Services Sector (FSS) Critical Infrastructure against cyber threats is a pressing priority.

DHS’s Silicon Valley Innovation Program (SVIP) launched the Innovation Other Transaction Solicitation (OTS) HSHQDC-16-R-B0005 in December last year.  The OTS Innovation framework engages early stage start-ups through targeted non-dilutive funding and provides opportunities  for operational testing and market access. The SVIP hopes to rapidly expand the commercial development roadmaps to include homeland security  solutions by incentivizing product developers.

On November 14, the DHS S&T SVIP will bring together technology startups, investors, FSS leaders and  stakeholders to discuss unique opportunities in promoting the security of financial sector critical infrastructure.

This  event will provide technology startups and investors with an  opportunity to learn more about DHS S&T CSD’s mission, the  technologies being used to complete their mission, and  technical areas where CSD and the FSS seek solutions. The common goal is leveraging creative ideas and solutions to enhance mission capability. By participating, you’ll have the chance to help shape the program direction and impact the Country’s financial stability.
