Court vs. Medical Ethics (Language Neutral)
Saturday, January 28, 2017 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Pacific Time)

The National Center for Interpretation is pleased to announce a webinar designed for legal and medical interpreters of all languages!

Interpreters working in both court and medical settings are governed by strong ethical codes.  While these codes are similar, they are not identical, and their application can vary dramatically.  This webinar compares and contrasts the ethical standards governing medical and court interpreters and illustrates their application in real world scenarios.  This 3-hour language neutral webinar is taught entirely in English and is open to interpreters in all languages.

This webinar is live and instructor-led. Participants are required to actively participant in the workshop. This workshop is designed to familiarize you with the Code of Ethics for court interpreters. Through discussions and exercises with the trainer and other participants, you will acquire the tools to successfully navigate situations where ethical considerations are at stake.
