The ASU American Indian Policy Institute (AIPI) & Native American Finance Officers Association (NAFOA) are excited to announce the inaugural L2L (Leader to Leader): A Tribal Economic Governance Seminar to be held May 15 and 16, 2017 at Arizona State University. 

The L2L Seminar is an applied, intensive, and innovative training for elected and appointed tribal officials taught by experts and other tribal leaders. For the inaugural seminar, this will be an invitation only event. The cost to attend is $2,500. 

L2L leverages the ASU Decision Theater Network, which uses data analytics, visualization, and statistical modeling to deliver an immersive experience to participants.


Seminar Topics include:

  • Driving Economic Development: A leader's guide to Federal Indian Law and Policy
  • Informed decision-making through sound economic development and planning
  • Taxation and business structures for tribal governments
  • Overseeing the financial management of the tribal government and its enterprises
  • Financing and the ability to borrow
  • Priority and community-based budgeting
Program highlights: 
  • Taught by nationally recognized Native professionals and tribal leaders
  • Earn up to 15 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits available through the Native American Finance Officers Association (www.nafoa.org)
  • NAFOA representatives in attendance 
  • Quality texts and materials are provided
  • Meals - Breakfast and Lunch - are provided.

Continuing Professional Education Information:
You can earn up to 15 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits through the Native American Finance Officers Association (NAFOA).
